Innovation Mapping Project

In early 2005, with the financial support of Civic Progress and in partnership with the University of Missouri (Columbia), the University of Illinois (Urbana/Champaign), and the RCGA, the Skandalaris Center at Washington University started an effort to more clearly define and understand the research and innovation strengths in the St. Louis region.

The goal of this effort was to (1) identify specific areas of technology and science that offer a high probability for expansion, collaboration and ultimately economic growth, and (2) engage the research community and elevate the conversation about the innovation strengths and opportunities that might exist through increased collaboration.
